What is TransAcoustic™ Technology?

TransAcoustic™ is Yamaha’s breakthrough technology that turns the piano’s soundboard into a speaker. Instead of relying on external amplification, digital sound is transmitted directly into the piano’s soundboard, which resonates just like it would when playing acoustically.

How It Works

  • The tone generator creates an optimised digital audio signal

  • Transducers attached to the soundboard receive the signal

  • Soundboard vibrations travel through bridges and strings

  • The entire piano resonances with rich, natural tone
